Located at 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos, MI 48864, the Bureau of Construction Codes is responsible for the administration of the Stille-DeRossett-Hale Single State Construction Code Act, the Building Officials Registration Act, the Mobile Home Commission Act, the Electrical Administrative Act, the Forbes Mechanical Contractors Act, the State Plumbing Act, the Boiler Act, the Elevator Licensing Act, and the Elevator Safety Board Act, the Land Division Act, the State Survey and Remonumentation Act, the State Boundary Commission Act, the Utilization of Public Facilities by Physically Limited Act, as well as the related rule sets and codes, and oversees 9 industry-related boards or commissions.
The types of licenses that are currently available for renewal online are: Electrical Journeyman, Master Electrician, Fire Alarm Specialty Technician, Sign Specialist, Mechanical Contractor, Master Plumber, Journey Plumber, Plumbing Apprentice, Boiler Installer, Boiler Repairer, Elevator Contractor and Elevator Journeyperson.
Licenses renewed online will be printed the next business day and mailed to the address on the license. It may take up to 7 business days to receive your license by mail.
If you have an address or phone number change you cannot renew your license online.
Licenses cannot be renewed online for: Electrical Contractors, Fire Alarm Contractors, Sign Contractors, Electrical Apprentices, Plumbing Contractors, Plumbing Affidavits, licensees that hold both a Plumbing Contractor and a Master Plumber License or Boiler Inspectors.
